Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Botxbyte (“we”, “us”), 11th Floor, Rajkot, India, collects and uses personal data on India Price Tracker. We follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under them.
Data we collect
- Price alerts: your e-mail address and target price, or your browser’s push-notification subscription.
- Discussions: the name you choose (optional) and the text you post.
- Contact form: your name, e-mail address and message.
- Abuse protection: a one-way hash of your IP address (we never store the address itself), used for rate limits and spam prevention.
- Usage: anonymous counts of product views and clicks on store links.
We do not ask for your phone number, address, payment details or any sensitive personal data, and we do not create accounts for visitors.
Why we use it
- To send the alerts you asked for, and nothing else – no newsletters unless you opt in separately.
- To show your discussion posts and keep the community safe.
- To reply to your messages.
- To protect the site from spam and abuse.
Consent and withdrawal
We process your data on the basis of your consent, which you give by submitting a form. You can withdraw it at any time: use the unsubscribe link in any alert e-mail, block notifications in your browser, or write to us to delete your posts or data.
Third-party content, advertising and cookies
Third parties, including Amazon and other advertisers, may serve content and advertisements on this site, collect information directly from visitors, and place or recognise cookies on visitors’ browsers. Product images may load directly from store servers (for example Amazon’s), which can receive your IP address and browser details under their own privacy policies.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We use service providers only to run the site (web hosting, e-mail delivery and, if enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile bot protection). When you click a link to a store, the store and its affiliate network may set cookies and collect data under their own privacy policies. We may disclose data if required by law.
Retention
Alert data is kept until you unsubscribe or the alert is fulfilled; discussion posts until you or we remove them; contact messages for up to 12 months; hashed IPs for rate limiting for up to 24 hours (longer only for posts and reports, for abuse handling).
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, nominate another person to exercise your rights, and raise a grievance. Write to our Grievance Officer: Grievance Officer, Botxbyte, info@indiapricetracker.com. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Security
We use HTTPS, hashed IP addresses, encrypted storage for keys and strict security headers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.
Children
The site is not meant for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect their data.
